Following the success of the 2025 WTCA Asia Pacific Conference (APC) hosted by WTC Mumbai, we had the privilege to visit Members in India. Our visits explored diverse operations, how the business models work within their specific regions to serve local communities including small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and how WTCA plays a role in promoting their global visibility and coordinating partnerships within the WTC network.

First Stop: WTC Goa – A Unique Blend of Indian Culture and Portuguese Influences

Our trip to Goa immediately started on Sunday, November 23, with a warm welcome from the WTC Goa team at the airport. On Monday, November 24, we had the pleasure to visit WTC Goa, a newly accredited Member of WTCA. We learned about WTC Goa’s operation, how it provides trade services — not only to Goa companies, but also MSMEs beyond the region. The morning visit was followed by a presentation from a local member showcasing 3D printing technology. In the afternoon, a face-to-face meeting with local business communities was held in the WTC Goa meeting room, during which we had the chance to network and exchange ideas with local industry representatives on the benefits of being part of the global WTCA network.

Goa, being the smallest state of India and located on the southwest coast, is renowned for its sun-kissed beaches, a blend of Indian culture, and Portuguese influences, cuisine and lifestyle, making it the popular destination for both domestic and international tourists. Local sectors for global trade are agri- & food processing, tourism, pharma, IT, mining, consultancy services, green buildings, and ship building.

Second Stop: WTC Chennai – An IT Hub and a Landmark Complex Dominating the Skyline of the City

The second stop on our journey was WTC Chennai, one of the seven Brigade Group licenses and also a WTCA Premier Accredited Member.

On Tuesday, November 25, the highly professional and passionate WTC Chennai team walked us through the twin tower office buildings and amenities, and introduced their tenant services showcasing the WTC-branded complex as a landmark in the local community. The visit ended with an impressive presentation from the WTC Chennai team, and a discussion centering on how the WTC brand and WTCA network play a major role both in local economies and on the global stage.

Located in the city center of Chennai, Karnataka, WTC Chennai stands out as the city’s tallest complex, housing tenants like Amazon and Caterpillar, creating an IT cluster, and making itself a hub and epicenter for high-quality work and life.

Third and Final Stop: WTC Nhava Sheva – Where the WTC Brand Joins Hands with Logistics & Warehousing Business in the SEZ Anchored by the Port

Nhava Sheva, also known as the Jawaharlal Nehru Port, or “JNPA”, is a vital economic region anchored by India’s largest container port, driving trade and logistics. The port facilitates significant exports and imports, making the region a hub for warehousing, shipping, and logistics businesses.

JNPA Special Economic Zone (SEZ) is where WTC Nhava Sheva is located. With a land area of 22 hectares, the project currently under construction is positioned to be a first-of-its-kind logistics and supply chain player featuring an office tower, convention center, with industrial & logistics facilities to meet the surging supply chain demand of Indian market.

On Thursday, November 27, we had the honor to pay an onsite visit to the project and India’s largest container port. We sat down with the team and had interactive discussions on potential collaborations, in particular, among port-backed and SEZ WTC businesses.

Throughout the Member visits, from the west coast to the east coast of India, we learned how WTC-branded operations are leading and contributing to the booming Indian economy. Our gratitude goes to the teams of WTC Goa, WTC Chennai, and WTC Nhava Sheva for their generous hospitality and professionalism as well as their valuable insights.
