WTC Winnipeg looking to "Make in India"

WINNIPEG, CANADA - The World Trade Centre Winnipeg (WTC Winnipeg) and the World Trade Center Pune (WTC Pune) have announced an agreement for jointly promoting inbound and outbound trade and investment for members of both associations.

“This Memorandum of understanding (MOU) with WTC Winnipeg is its first overseas MOU within the World Trade Centers Association network,” stated Sagar Chordia, WTC Pune Director. “Mutual interests in Manufacturing, Transportation and Logistics, Agribusiness, Information and Communications Technologies, Construction/Infrastructure can spur international business between Canada and India.”

“We want Manitoba companies to benefit from the strength of our WTC network around the world,” said Mariette Mulaire, President and CEO, WTC Winnipeg. “Trade initiatives are increasing with India and this new partnership will help us position Winnipeg and Manitoba as we are getting ready to welcome the world for Centrallia, and I am looking forward to visiting WTC Pune in November 2015.”

The primary objectives of the MOU are to collaborate within programs that support trade development, exchange information about international fairs and exhibitions, organize and exchange visits of trade missions, and identify possible areas for trade and investment. The WTC Winnipeg has signed a MOU with the WTC Mumbai, the All India Association of Industries, and Verbind which represents 13 WTC in India. Indian companies have also been present at previous Centrallia editions.
